The Astra™ IUD Skills Training Model is purpose-built to support comprehensive, hands-on training in intrauterine device (IUD) simulation. Designed for women's health healthcare professionals, Astra enables realistic practice of IUD assessment, insertion, positioning, and extraction techniques. With anatomically accurate structures and life-like tactile feedback, Astra bridges the gap between theoretical learning and clinical confidence. Astra™ features a replaceable translucent uterus with a pink cervix.

Please Note:

• Astra is compatible with our Pelvic Bone Component, which fits on the top of the stand. Our pelvic bone component is not included with the Astra model but is available for purchase separately.

• The Astra uterus is a consumable component and is intended to be replaced periodically as wear occurs. Replacement uteruses are available for purchase separately.

• As with any soft-tissue simulation model, the uterine component will experience normal wear with repeated use. Over time, the feel and resistance of the uterine component may change, particularly with repeated tenaculum use. The rate of wear will vary depending on IUD type and size, tenaculum placement and technique, and frequency and manner of use. A change in the tactile feel of the uterine component with use is an expected characteristic of the model and does not necessarily indicate a defect. The uterine component can be replaced when the desired level of tactile realism is no longer achieved.
